Snowmobile Trail Conditions

Prentice Bush Benders trail report 02/06/2019

Well we finally got 6+ inches of snow over night with 8+ more predicted for Thursday. Last weekend our trails held up really well from snowmobile traffic so our base is still there. The melt on Sunday really hurt the open areas but with the new snow these are not an issue any more. There may be some over flow from the melt on Sunday so ride safely. We will be grooming all week and should have all trails groomed by the weekend. The trails should all be in good condition by the weekend. Ride safe and have fun.

Kennan/ Catawba Driftsplitters 2/6/2019

We will have all trails groomed and in very good shape by Thursday. There is logging on trail 94 and on trail 181 between intersection 100 and intersection 101. With the good snow we got all trails will be groomed twice a week.

Sno Gypsies 2/6/2019

Trails are being groomed a couple times a week now. All trails are open. The fresh snow last night really added to the good base we have. Additional snow tonight and tomorrow will only help to make them better. Enjoy the trails and ride safe.

Lugerville chasers2/6/2019

Our trails are being groomed twice a week.  They are in good to very good condition.

Elk River Pioneers 2/6/2019

Snowmobile Trail Reports:

Red Arrow Snowmobile Trails (Townsend) – It’s 14 degrees in beautiful downtown Townsend this morning. We received 6 1/2″ of fresh snow yesterday, and if my Weather Channel App is accurate, we could receive 5″-8″ more  Thursday. This should turn the area into snowmobilers heaven.

The groomers will most certainly be out working their magic on the trails tonight and throughout the rest of the week.

Paul Bunyan (Lakewood) – The Paul Bunyan Riders trails will be totally double groomed by tonight before the snow arrives. The groomer operators are doing an awesome job bringing you the absolute best trails in Oconto County. They started Monday afternoon and today there is two shifts with all 3 machines. We will continue to groom the new snow we receive in the coming days. Ride safe because they are very icy after the rain.

Chute Pond Snowmobile Trails (Mountain) – Chute Pond trails are open, being groomed, and will remain in good to very good condition. There may be some icy spots under the top layer of snow, so use extra caution. Grooming will continue over the next several days- so please watch for them on the trail any time of day or night- and always yield the right of way to the groomers. Stay to the right, and enjoy your ride!

Bagley and Brazeau Joyriders Snowmobile Trails – B &B Joyriders trails received 5” of new snow, Tuesday. The groomers have been out all day Wednesday and Wednesday night. They will be back out Friday after the next snow fall, 3” to 6” that maybe on the way. The trails are in good to very good condition. Some of the open fields on the south end of the trail system are a little light of snow. If you ride to Suring, the old trail is closed through the golf course, but the trail does go around it and back into town.

Gillett – Trails are open and groomed earlier today and in good shape.  Be aware there is ice under the snow be cautious.

SNO-EAGLES TRAILS OPEN!
Trails Good-Very Good

February 7 2019 6:55am – 17 – High 20

Groomer drivers headed out to groom last night with more SNOW on the way today.  Tuesday into Wednesday 4-6 inches of SNOW.  Overnight an inch or 2.  Mid morning today SNOW will start with SNOW until late tonight.  Forecast of 5-8 inches.  A little more tonight.  When all is groomed the trails will be fantastic!

High of 20 today & low of 2 below. Friday high of 4 & low of 14 below.  Saturday high of 12 & low of 0. Sunday high of 17 & low of 0.  We have a great weekend coming!  Time to ride!

There were a lot of branches, limbs & trees down from the ice storm & the volunteer Sno-Eagles crew continues clearing, cutting & removing.  So as you ride be aware that there still may be downfall in the trails or very low hanging branches.  Along with that there still is a hard icy base under all this new SNOW.  So maybe slow down a bit.

Sno-Eagles Country has 2 areas that have one-way trails.  10E is a one-way trail from the ERRA Sports Arena all the way out to Nicolet Mini Mart.  The other is the 13’s up near Buckatabon Bridge & Bauer’s Dam area.  Clearly marked with DO NOT ENTER signs.  Plus trail signs are backwards if you are going the wrong way.

EAGLE LAKE TRAIL & CATFISH LAKE TRAIL ARE MARKED & OPEN. Stay by the reflective orange barrels.

55 mph speed limit dusk to dawn.  All trails.  Land & Lakes.

Thanks for THINKING SNOW!!!

Are you going ridin’? See ya on the trails!
