Reporter:haywardlakes
Trail Conditions: Excellent
Snow Cover: 9 to 16 inches
Date of Report: January 6, 2020
Area Report:

Staked lakes;

Lac Courte Oreilles, Grindstone, Whitefish, Spider, Tiger Cat, Moose, Nelson, Callahan. Lost Land, Big and Little Round, Osprey, both sides of the Chippewa Flowage.

NOT staked yet:  Lake Chetac

All town trails in Hayward are groomed. Trails from the Flowage north are great! Lakes have lots of ice and patches of snow and do need some snow but there is very good ice on them. Ride with caution on lakes especially if you do not have studs but absolutely ride! Trails are great!

The Tuscobia has serious issues between Ojibwa and Winter, traveling on this section is not advised.  From Winter to the east and Ojibwa to tne west has some rough areas but is doable.
