CLOSED FOR THE REST OF THE SEASON

Well the chances of getting to the end of the month are not looking as good as this did this past weekend. The Vilas County Snowmobile Alliance has it’s monthly meeting tonight. On agenda is trails. So the 11 clubs will discuss the future of trail riding.
There is SNOW in the forecast for today but it doesn’t look like any will stick. Will melt as it hits the ground.
Yesterday’s sunny finally took a toll on most trails in Eagle River. The warm days & cold nights had turned the SNOW into really crystallized icy SNOW. Frozen in the morning then soft as the day went by. Looks more like a frozen snow cone on the trails in the morning. The base is still hard ice in most areas except in town.
No grooming overnight.
These important updates continue if you are riding:
There is 1 logging operations going on where there is a need to use parts of the trails. Trail 13N by Deep Lake Rd. Plus utility work on 7 near Sugar Camp on the high line.
EAGLE LAKE TRAIL & CATFISH LAKE TRAIL ARE MARKED & OPEN. Lots of slush so for the more experienced rider at this point.
The 2 one-way trail areas are 10E from the ERRA Sports Arena all the way out to Nicolet Mini Mart. The other is the 13’s up near Buckatabon Bridge & Bauer’s Dam area.
Trails can & will remain open until midnight March 31 snow & conditions permitting. Think we will make it?
