Date of Report: February 20, 2021
Area Report:

February 20 –6:50am Currently 13 below – High of 25 today
Trails remain in GOOD to VERY GOOD Condition
GTS Trails app shows groomers out in the last 24 hours

Grooming continues 7 nights a week. Full night of grooming with ALL trails groomed except Trail 10E of Eagle River & the spurs off 10E.

Best way to learn the trails is to buy a Sno-Eagles trail map. It also had the entire Vilas county trails on the backside.  Plus download the GTS trails app  It is available at the App Store.

There is a ton of riders out.  Many large groups out riding.  So as you riding be sure to Ride Right – Stay Right. Remember to stop at trail stop signs & at road crossings. Saw a lot of no stopping yesterday.  A car or truck versus your snowmobile will not turn out well.  Most trails are in GOOD shape.  With the high volume of traffic there are trails with low level snirt. Ice base with SNOW on top.  Riding again today heading east toward town on 10E.  Detailed report tomorrow.

During the day yesterday there was more fluffy Lakes Effect Snow. Maybe an inch.  Next SNOW Sunday with weather guys giving a 60% chance.  START DANCIN’

Please stay on the trails to keep them trails open.  Lots of off trail riding is causing a lot of problems.  Trails will close if riders keep this up.  Done preaching.

Catfish & Eagle Lake trails are marked with orange reflective barrels.  Please stay by the barrels to be safe. Both are still bumpy so might want to slow down. The lakes are marked by the businesses on the lake so stop in & thank them when you’re out riding.

SEE YA ON THE TRAILS!
