Trail Conditions: Excellent
Snow Cover: 8-12”
Date of Report: January 22, 2026
Area Report:
So, we went out last night to do a light groom of some of our busiest use trails. The trails were in good shape before we even dropped the drag. And with the cold temps, they were frozen in nicely. Took a ride around Conover, over to Phelps and back today. Trails were very good to excellent.
We are probably going to suspend grooming during these next few days with the extreme cold. The last thing we want is broken equipment or a stranded operator out on the trail.
Remember to dress for the cold temperatures by wearing layers, find someone to ride with, have a charged cell phone, and having a back-up heated shield cord along with you.
Watch out for the large ice heave on North Twin Lake. It is marked with signs, barrels, and green flashing beacons. Please slow down and cross next to the barrels.
