Area Report:

Snow has fallen the past 2 days and now it is really coming down—exactly what the trails in the Northwoods needed. I challenge you to come up and find a bad trail this mid week. Trail Report: Cable, Wisconsin – January 10, 2017

Trail Conditions: Fair

Snow Cover: 4-6″

Date of Report: January 10, 2017

Area Report:

The Cable Area picked about 2″ of snow between Sunday and today. Several waves of snow are forecasted to hit over the next two days and we should be looking at total accumulations between 4-6″ now to Thursday. Lake effect snow could make those totals go higher as well. Trails have a solid base and this new snow will make for the best riding conditions yet this season. The stick trail is now up on Lake Namakagon, which now has a nice snow covering too.

With the light snow we got Sunday/Monday and the 2-4″ predicted today, the groomers will be going out starting today with the anticipation of having the full area trail system groomed by Thursday night! Please travel with care as groomers will be out during the daytime hours.
Also, please watch out for logging on trail 8 between FR203 & the groomer barn. Some areas toward Clam Lake should be better after some widening of the trail at areas that, due to higher water tables, were not freezing up. Use Caution!

Trail Report: Crivitz, Wisconsin – January 10, 2017

Date of Report: January 10, 2017

Area Report:

Sno-Eagles – Eagle River Area
Trails Open
Good Early Riding Condition

High of 28 today & it is SNOWING.  Weather guys forecast 3-5 inches of SNOW today.  Low of 3 tonight. Another 1-3 inches of SNOW tomorrow.  Low of 0. Perfect weather to build the hard base. Trails will be in great shape!

Trails are all SNOW covered for the most part. Did find some snirt heading north.  This new SNOW will take care of that.  It is icy under the loose SNOW so slow down even on straight aways.  Traffic on the trails low so this is the time to ride.

Catfish Lake Loop & Eagle Lake Trail are OPEN & safe by the orange reflective barrels.

Manske Swamp area of Trail 3 and WI River Bridge area of Trail 10W/13N not groomed.  Still concerns that the grooming equipment is too heavy to travel through until more freezing of those areas goes on.

As you ride keep the Emergency 3 Digit Numbers in mind.  If you need assistance with an emergency call 911 & give them the most recent number you saw.  This helps dispatch pin point your location.

Going to ride today & will give you a report tomorrow.
