Snowmobile Report – March 8, 2021 The Snowmobile Trails in Ashland County are open but in POOR conditions. Trails are CLOSED from Ashland to Mellen on Trail 13 side, Ashland to Deer Creek on Trail 9 side. Connecting route in villages are bare and any connecting roads are bare. You can still ride in the forest. Ride with care and at your own risk.
Oneida County trails will be closing on Tuesday, March 9th for the season. It was a short season this year, but hat’s off to the landowners that give us the foundation for the incredible trail system that all of us can enjoy.
In addition, thank you all to the active club members that spend countless hours working on the land use agreements, brushing, marking, inspecting, grooming, working on groomers, etc… to help make sure the process is as smooth as possible.
Well, our season is coming to an end. Vilas County Snowmobile Trails will close today at 11:59 P.M.,
We were fortunate to get the snow last week that extended our season for a week. We continuously groomed up through this past Saturday night.
We would like to thank everyone that visited our area and supported our businesses and the Boulder Junction Snowmobile Club.
Also, we would like to thank all of our volunteers that helped prepare our trails this fall and all of our groomer drivers that groomed around the clock this season.
If you are in our area on Saturday, April 24th, please stop in and support our club at our last fundraiser of the year. Our Cabin Fever fundraiser will be held at Gooch’s 2 from 2:00 to 8:00 P.M.,

Well folks, the fat lady has been standing at the microphone clearing her throat for the past week. Now she has finally started singing. The Vilas county snowmobile trails will officially close Monday, March 8 at 11:59 pm.
While it was a short season, it was not the shortest! This season we were open for 66 days, but the 2010/2011 season was only open 65 days! FYI, my records go back 16 seasons and longest season was 111 days. The average is 84 days.
