Trail Report – : Bayfield County, Wisconsin – February 6, 2025

Reporter:BayfieldCounty

Trail Conditions: Good

Snow Cover: 4-8

Date of Report: February 6, 2025

Area Report:

We received 2-6 inches of snow last night depending on where you are in the county. More snow is forecasted for Saturday. All groomers are out working on the trails. Ride safe, ride right and have fun.

Dual use trails: we ask that AVT/UTV’s do not travel on groomed trails when the temps are above or around freezing. Ruts left in the trail in these low snow conditions will be near impossible to remove. Please use good judgment when out riding your ATV/UTV in these conditions.

News and Reports:

SATURDAY ONLY TRAIL CLOSURE – A section of the Tri-County Corridor will be closed Saturday from 8am-1pm for the Northern Pines Sled Dog Race. Please use trail 22/24 as an alternate route during that time. Map attached.

Trail closures: Closures in Drummond and White River areas are due to low snow conditions and private property concerns. Do not go around trail closed signs.

Trail Report – : Sayner, Wisconsin – February 6, 2025

Reporter:SaynerStar Lake Barnstormers

Trail Conditions: Fair

Snow Cover: Thin

Date of Report: February 6, 2025

Area Report:

The 1-3″ that was forecast for last night turned out to be barely a dusting.  They say more is coming this weekend, so we’ll keep our fingers crossed.

The Barnstormer system remains in fair to good condition and is actually holding up quite well under the circumstances.  It’s thin cover pretty much all over, with a few areas of snirt beginning to show.

There is still some great riding, so get out there and enjoy!  Be cautious of icy corners.

Remember, there are logging operations on parts of trails 11 & 15.  The loggers have priority over the trails & have the authority to shut them down if you get in their way.  Please be respectful of their operations.

Don’t forget about upcoming events!

Vintage snowmobile show @ Sayner Pub, Saturday, Feb 8,  8 am – 4 p-m

Chili Dump @ Murmuring Waters: Saturday, Feb 8,  2-5 PM

Pizza Fundraiser @ Hillside Tavern: Sunday, Feb 16, 4-8 PM

Groomers will be out again this morning, smoothing out a few more trails for the women’s ride meeting at Eagle Allsports Rentals and Service in Gile at 8:30.
Thank you to all of our volunteers for all they do each day!
