Hi Everyone ~

Sorry for the delay in reporting.  More technical glitches, but we seem to be on a roll now!

Our U. P. Thunder Riders Snowmobile Club reported all our trails here are now good to excellent!  We knew a little more snow would make a big difference.  Between last night and today, we received about 8″ or more of new snow.  This time it wasn’t the fluffy stuff we’ve been getting!  Some good cold weather has helped out the trails, too, and predictions are for more.  Our groomers are out there grooming every day or night making our trails the best they can be.

The following trails here are all good to excellent:

Trail 3 North, Trail 3 South to Wisconsin, Trail 2 East and West, and Trail 13 South

We have great accommodations in our area.  Enjoy a cozy cabin on a lake or a spacious vacation home, a ma and pa motel, a historic hotel, or a casino resort hotel.  There are two snowmobile and ATV/UTV businesses right here that have all the parts you need, can repair your sleds, or would love to sell you a new one!  Two more businesses here also do snowmobile repairs.  We have great restaurants and cafes that will fuel you and convenience and grocery stores and gas stations that will fuel your vehicles and your sleds.  Many other area businesses will be ready to help you with any needs you might have.  We have friendly people here that are always eager to go the extra mile to make your stay a great one.

For a live snowmobile trail report, call Caryl at our Watersmeet Chamber of Commerce phone, 906-358-9961.  You can get questions answered or order area information and Western U. P. Snowmobile Trail maps, too.  If you prefer to email, just write me at visit@watersmeet.org.

Thank you for your interest in our area.  We have great trails, fantastic scenery and wildlife, beautiful waterfalls, awesome lakes, and so much more!  We hope you’ll come up soon.  As always, we invite you to “stay where you play”.  Just let us know if we can help with anything.
