Winter Snowmobile and All-Season Trails (As of 1/21/2020)
Currently, ALL of Douglas County trails are open. Please note, deer have been reported on trails, so please keep an eye out while traveling.
PLEASE check the trail you intend to use is open and do not trespass on private property. It is critical that we respect the landowners who allow us to utilize their property. It just takes one owner to deny the use of their land for a trail to be permanently shut down, so please be courteous and wait for the trails to officially open.
The following all-season trails are currently open to ATV, UTV, and Snowmobiles:
SW Quadrant
Open Trails
Trail 5 – Groomed
Trail 5A – Groomed
Trail 930 – Groomed
Trail 925 – Not Groomed
Trail 935 – Groomed
Trail 925 – Groomed
Trail 9 – Groomed between Trail 5 and Trail 925 (Use caution north of Trail 925. There are wet areas and an uneven trail surface.)
SE Quadrant
Open trails:
Wild Rivers Trail (Trail 35) – Groomed Solon Springs North
Wild Rivers Trail (Trail 32) – Not groomed Solon Springs South
Trails 27B – Groomed
Trail 27C – Groomed
Trails 41S – Groomed from Trail 3 to the County line

Trail 41 WRT to the Warming Shack – Groomed (watch for uneven trail surface)

Trail 17S – Groomed (Use caution on Creek crossings South of Lower Eau Claire Lake)

NE Quadrant
Most trails are in very good condition with a good base. All trails were groomed except Trail 27/27A, Wild Rivers Trail (Trail 35), Trail 235, and Trail 635. On Trail 235 there are some large ice chunks in the Box Culvert under the freeway, a little bumpy. Watch for logging on Trail 6 & Trail 4.
NW Quadrant
Open Trails:
Gandy Dancer Trail – Groomed (watch for deer crossing between Moen Road and County Road BB)
Saunders Grade Trail – Groomed
Wrenshall Grade – Groomed
Trail 0 – Groomed
Trail 28 – Groomed
Cross-Town Connector – Groomed

Cross Country Ski Trails (As of 1/21/2020)
Douglas County Ski Trails – The ski trails have been groomed and are in good condition! These trails will be groomed again by 1/24.
Superior Municipal Forest – All trails are groomed and tracked. Trails are in very good to excellent condition!
Pattison State Park – All trails were groomed and tracked on 1/9/2020. Conditions are excellent with full track depth on the Overlook and Oak Ridge Trails. The Riverview Trail has full track depth for most of the trail, except for a few areas that have an uneven base. Please watch out for some debris scattered in areas from the windy conditions. (Last Updated on 1/11, no updated information at this time.)
Brule River After Hours Trail – All trails are groomed and tracked. Conditions are excellent!
