Trail Report – : Sugar Camp, Wisconsin – January 25, 2019

Reporter:Matt Winters
Trail Conditions: Good
Snow Cover: 4-6"
Date of Report: January 25, 2019
Area Report:

Bitter cold has set in in the northwoods with lows very well below zero approaching -20 for lows & highs near zero for the next week allowing the trails to setup very nice & keep the snow in place. Use caution coming into sharp corners & steep hills as they are becoming very icy. All swampy areas are being gone through now & may be alittle rough in areas as more snow is needed to fill everything in. No measurable snow in the forecast the next week so we are working with what we have. Woods trails are very nice so the further you get out of towns the better. Lakes are safe to cross with orange barrels,so stay close to barrels & maintain reasonable speeds while crossing as some drifting may be happening out there. Always stay on marked trails while riding, been seeing alot of off trail riding. We have alot of very generous land owners allowing the trails to go through their property so let’s keep it that way. Always support a club & local businesses while you ride our great trail systems & purchase your annual trail passes before riding the trails. United we trail divided we fail!
