Trail Conditions: Fair
Snow Cover: 2"-4"
Date of Report: February 15, 2018
Area Report:

Trails in sugar camp trail system are in fair riding conditions. The recent warm up on Wednesday & Thursday got rid of some snow on the trails you will encounter alot of brown and snirty conditions especially in burmed  up sharp corners and down to dirt in some areas also where  the sun is causing alot of burn-thru in open areas. Groomers are working with little snow to fill things in at this time so it might be alittle rough on high traffic trails. The further away from town and into the woods you get the better they will be. Hills and corners are VERY ICY so maintain reasonable speeds to stay on the right side of the trail. You may also encounter some water in swampy areas as it don’t take much warm weather to open these area’s up alittle bit so use caution. Lakes are safe to cross yet and marked with orange barrels. Not much drifting has been occurring with no measurable snow in a couple weeks. The 43rd annual Sugar Camp Snowmobile Club ice fishing jamboree will take place this Saturday February 17th on Sand Lake in Sugar Camp by Pitlik’s Sand Beach Resort. Lots of fun & great Raffles & fun for the whole family. This is our biggest fund raiser of the season so come on out & support the club! United we trail divided we fail!
