The trails are officially open for the year and are in good early riding conditions. The swamps are not froze over enough to support grooming equipment yet so expect to encounter some short stretches of ungroomed, rough trail here and there. Use caution when riding through these areas as you may encounter open spots. Expect to encounter a number of hanging branches in the trail from a recent ice storm. The area lakes are doing well for this early in the season but some have a layer of water between the snow and ice mainly along the shoreline’s.
