Reporter:Phelps Snowmobile Club
Trail Conditions: Good
Snow Cover: 18" to 24"
Date of Report: January 30, 2020
Area Report:

Just getting back from a great snowmobile ride today.  We were able to travel the entire  Phelps trail system. All trails were groomed and in great condition.  The only spot that wasn’t groomed was a stretch  between the shooting range and Norwood Lake rd. on trail 6 east of town. Right now the warm weather has caused this area to open back up enough were we can not bring equipment through it.  Be advised, the trails are setting up good overnight but, with more traffic and warm temps, they soften up by the afternoon.  Temperatures for the weekend show a warm up with highs Friday and Saturday in the low 30’s and on Sunday in the upper 30’s to near 40.  Grooming will be done as long as the weather cooperates.  Please ride carefully and slow down in the corners. we had a real close call today.  If travel any lake trail, please stay close to the barrels.
