Trails in the Lake Gogebic Area were groomed Friday night and reported in much better shape than anticipated.
The North end of Lake Gogebic received over 10” of snow in the past 2 days; and the South end of Lake Gogebic has received about 3”. The lake effect snow we’ve received was actually making moisture when circulated from blade to drag and set up tight! It’s cold, so that definitely helped. Swamp’s remain frozen with thin and icy spots and some perfect spots.
- 1n, 1s and 102 were groomed Friday
- Trail 8 west (railroad grade) East out of Bergland reported as choppy and thin
- 13 N to Rockland is not being groomed at this time due to icy conditions.
- 13S remains closed
- Trails in the South end of Lake Gogebic are reported as very icy.
