Hello Sledders!

It was a great and real winter weekend filled with snow and sledders! Sawyer County trails continue to be OPEN and GROOMED. The trails have a 1-9″ base and are in VERY GOOD condition. A few scattered bare spots in the open… but the woods are very good. The lakes are in excellent condition but as always, please stay on the trails and caution for ice heaves… with one exception… Lake Hayward has open water – the entrance areas have been roped off, for your safety, stay off of Lake Hayward.

The snow storm that was scheduled to hit this area has unfortunately traveled north of us, giving us just a couple of inches – this is very welcomed to freshen things up!

Another bit of great news is all surrounding counties are opened for riding as well; Ashland, Bayfield, Rusk, Price and Washburn so there are many many miles to ride!

Trail 36 from Flambeau to Price Co line  is rerouted back to the old trail along Hwy W.

Trail Closures:

Trail 63 north of Seeley from Bodecker Rd to Bayfield Co line is CLOSED

Trail 5/27 from Tuscobia south to Rusk Co line is CLOSED.

As always… thank you to the club members and volunteers for their hard work and to you for visiting and enjoying Sawyer County!
