Taconite/David Dill State Trail
Snow: 11-29”
Base: 0-4”
Groomed: Yes
Condition: Fair to Good
The Taconite was last groomed Sunday and Monday and is in fair to good condition. Weather permitting, the trail will be groomed again Sunday night. Be aware of new logging operations just outside (west) of Ely past the Longstorff Creek trail bridge for .3 miles. The trail in that section is down to dirt due to the warm weather and equipment use.
The spur trail leading from the Taconite to the Oasis Bar and Grill in Britt has been rerouted due to landowner issues. The reroute goes from the Taconite east of Hwy 53 (opposite side from the Oasis) to Peppard Rd, crosses Hwy 53 at the Peppard Rd Jct, and follows the ditch south to Peel Rd and to the Oasis.

Putnam/Fishing Lakes Trail – is groomed and in fair to good condition. Be aware of logging operations on and around the trail shortly after trail crosses the West Two River trail bridge.

Lake Vermilion- Soudan Underground Mine State Park Trail- is in fair condition and was last groomed late last week. We have not been able to groom them this week due to the warm temps.

Tomahawk Trail – is groomed and in good condition.

Condition: Fair to Good
The entire Arrowhead was last groomed Sunday and Monday and is in fair to good condition. Weather permitting, the trail will be groomed again Sunday night. Going north from the Orr North GIA trail junction, logging is finished but the trail is almost bare for three miles due to the weather and lack of snow in that section.
