Total of 5 inches of new wet packy SNOW yesterday. Next SNOW off & on Thursday thru next Monday.  Right now it looks like 2-3 inches of SNOW.  It’s March & temps pop up during the day into the 30’s.  At night in the teens helping to freeze, building a base & hold the SNOW. Time to ride it when we got it.

Didn’t ride yesterday.  Talking to those that did, said trails are in pretty good shape especially in the woods.  SNOW softens up during the day & conditions change quickly, especially in open areas & through town. There still is a hard ice base underneath so it’s slippery especially in the corners.  Yesterday there were higher snow banks at the road crossings.  Harder to see.  Be sure to stop. Sleds out on the trails are packing the new SNOW & helping to build a thicker base.

No grooming last tonight.

With the number of accidents & fatalities this season remind you:

When you come upon a group of sleds in front of you on the trail.  Passing them can get you in trouble.   Have been seeing this all winter.  When an entire group passes, by the time the last sled passes, a sled could be coming from the other direction.

Remember as you ride & meet a groomer the equipment is NOT able to leave the trail due to it’s weight.  Pull over & stop.  Wait for direction from the driver.  Give ’em a thumbs up.  They groom so we can ride!

Please ride on the right side, slow down, limit alcohol & no off trail riding.

Eagle & Catfish Lake trails are still marked.  With the sun there is surface slush on the SNOW. If a lake is not marked it probably is not safe.

Take The Pledge, Protect Snowmobile Trails, Ride Only Where It’s Legal

THINK COLD!!!  Keep DOIN’ THE SNOW DANCE!!

It’s March & we’re still riding!   See ya on the trails!
