Winter continues in Eagle River & all of Vilas County.  Still lots of SNOW.  Next SNOW tomorrow, Tuesday and Wednesday.   Time to ride!

Rode about 80 miles yesterday afternoon.  Trails are Good to Excellent with a few exceptions.   Left from 10 east of Eagle River.   Heading west into town on the one way.  It was ragged until crossing Hemlock Ln off of Hwy 70.  From there into town Good.  Even Taylor Lk Rd & Pine Ln.  10/13 “the grade’ into town was Excellent to Very Good.  Through town solid SNOW cover all the way to crossing by Leif’s Cafe.  From there until 17N intersection breaking down.  17N to 3 and 3 Very Good to Excellent to 10/13 heading north.  Some rough at the beginning of 10/13.  The rest Good to Excellent all the way across WI River bridge & 13N. Picked up 45N in Conover.  It was Good with a couple of corner sun burn throughs.  Conover 3 to 13 Very Good.  13 Very Good to Excellent back to Eagle River.  Ran through town and headed south on Alt 13 to Three Lakes which was  Excellent!  13W to Sugar Camp to Eagle River connect.  Excellent!  13 to 70 along Hwy 17 Good to Very Good.  70 to town Good to the Rec Bridge by Eagle River Inn.  Fair from there to Oak Ln crossing.  Into town Good until Sundstein Rd crossing.  Poor from there to 10/13/70 intersection by DQ.  Headed home.  Grade great. 10 still Good.  One on south side was loaded with SNOW and drifted with some banks at road crossings.  All in all a GREAT ride!

Remember as you ride & meet a groomer the equipment is NOT able to leave the trail due to it’s weight.  Pull over & stop.  Wait for direction from the driver.  Give ’em a thumbs up.  They groom so we can ride!

Please ride on the right side, slow down, limit alcohol & no off trail riding.

Businesses on the 2 marked lakes, Catfish & Eagle have removed the barrels. Lots of slush & with temps dropping there was concern the barrels would freeze in & be hard to remove.
