EAGLE RIVER TRAILS IN FAIR TO GOOD RIDING CONDITION

January 8, 2022 – 7:31am 11 degrees – High of 21

Seems like a heat wave this morning.  Came home late last night to 9 degrees & winds to 11 degrees this morning!  And it is going to be 21 today. Good riding weather.

With the new SNOW the trails are in FAIR to GOOD RIDING CONDITION.  Did not ride yesterday as was volunteering at the World Championship Derby.

Today I’m happy to report the Groomer Tracking System AP (GTS) shows nearly the entire system was grooming last night.

  • A few sections of Trail 10E
*Trail 1 aka Granpa Grahm trail that shoots of 10E that heads to Eagle Waters Resort by land from the south.
*The Chanticleer Spur off of 10E that heads to the Eagle Lake trail.
*Section of Trail 10E to the connect with the Three Lakes trails.  This is the very far east end section of to 10E
  • A section of 70W that connects with the St. Germain trails. From the Honey Bear Inn along Hwy 70W of Eagle River all the way to the St. Germain trails connection.

REMINDER: Catfish & Eagle lake trails were marked & are NOW OPEN.  To be safe stay by the orange reflective barrels.  Note the spur from the northside Eagle Lake boat launch that leads to Eagle Waters is NOT OPEN at this time.   Work in progress. Stay tuned.

There is a re route on 10/13/7/17 heading west.  Here’s a photo of the work done on January 3rd.  Did stump grinding to help smooth out the area.  New SNOW has helped that area a lot.  Re routes that happen later in the year take some time to smooth out & a lot of SNOW.

Would like trail photos so I can post to the report to let other riders see the real time conditions.  Send them to info@baysidelodgingrentals.com

KEEP DOIN’ THE SNOW DANCE!

See ya on the trails!!
