Early Season Riding with FAIR conditions

January 8, 2019 6:40am – 30 degrees  with temps dropping quickly today

The 4-5 1/2 inches of wet packy SNOW is now panned or groomed in Sno-Eagles Country!  Saw the groomers heading out last night around 5:30pm.  One making the crossing in town heading south on 3S (aka “the grade” or Alt13).  The other on Trail 17N moving it’s way along the KartWay heading north.

Really lucked out with weather yesterday.  From around 11am-2pm there was a fine mist with a few periods of very very light rain.  Did little to the new SNOW.

Today we are at the high for the day already. Temps will steadily drop all day with a low of 8 degrees.  Temps in the teens or low 20’s until Saturday when the high will be in the high 20’s.  SNOW forecast Saturday.  Could be a little SNOW on Friday night too.  Stay tuned!

Reminder that in Sno-Eagles Country there are 2 areas that have one-way trails.  10E is a one-way trail from the ERRA Sports Arena all the way out to Nicolet Mini Mart.  So heading out east you are on the south side of the road.  Heading back into town heading west you are on the north side of the road.  The other is the 13’s up near Buckatabon Bridge & Bauer’s Dam area.  Clearly marked with DO NOT ENTER signs.  This can be dangerous.

EAGLE LAKE TRAIL & CATFISH LAKE TRAIL ARE MARKED & OPEN. Stay by the reflective orange barrels.  Do not drift away from the barrels as it is not safe to do so.  Remember not all lakes have trails so if you don’t see marker do not ride on it to be safe.  These are the only 2 lakes that are marked in Sno-Eagles Country.  No other lake trails.

Winter is back!  Continue DOIN’ THE SNOW DANCE & THINK COLD!

See ya on the trails!
