Area Report:

FAIR TO POOR EARLY RIDING CONDITION
FRESH SNOW WANTED
Short Warm Up

Very good morning!  Heading to a high of 29 today!  With a few days of warm up.  Then back to the cold & below zero temps.  Looks like chance of SNOW on Wednesday evening & Thursday.  Sure hope it is measurable.  Trail could use it.

Reported yesterday I was going out riding.  Well, sled issue delayed that ride.  Going to shoot for a short “test” ride today.  Cross your fingers.

Lots of grooming last night. Big list of trails this morning.

  • Trail north – portion of 17N
  • Trails north & northwest – 13N, 10W, 7S
  • Trails southwest – 13S, 70W
  • Trails south – 17S to the Sugar Camp connect.  7N aka Paint Ball Field,  Trail 3 (formerly 13a) to the Three Lakes turn around

The groomer barn is located off of 10/13 so the trails through town are also groomed.

Trail 1N has a logging operation in the section between the Town of Washington Town Hall & Eagle Lake.

Wisconsin River Trail – 10W/13N is now being groomed off & on it is icy and rough in spots.  Same for Manske Swamp – 3N. Both were groomed last night.  No surface slush as of yesterday.  With this few day warm up slush may develop.  So be aware of that.

Catfish Lake Loop & Eagle Lake Trails are now both marked and officially open.  Please stay by the barrels to be safe.  Reminder the Catfish Lake Loop to Lumpy’s is NO LONGER a trail.  No surface slush right now but the warm up could cause some slush.

If you are riding zip on over to the “grade” to check out the 2018 Eagle River Area Fire Department ICE CASTLE!!!!  Located adjacent to the downtown “grade” trail by the Historic Railroad Grade.  The lights installed change colors.  Check out this link Eagle River Ice Castle to check out more photos.  Darn pretty!

Keep Dancin!  The trails really need more SNOW!

See ya on the trails!
