VILAS COUNTY TRAILS TO INCLUDE SNO-EAGLES TRAILS ARE OPEN!
Early Season Riding with FAIR conditions
January 7, 2019 8:21am – 30 degrees
4-5 1/2 inches of wet packy SNOW overnight. At 8:21am Snow Showers. It looks like misty to rain will move in between 10am-2pm. At 40-50% chance of that. After that Cloudy. Wednesday, Friday & Saturday best bets for SNOW.
No grooming overnight. Groomers out again tonight I would think. So if you are riding today be careful. Still ice under the wet SNOW.
Reminder that in Sno-Eagles Country there are 2 areas that have one-way trails. 10E is a one-way trail from the ERRA Sports Arena all the way out to Nicolet Mini Mart. So heading out east you are on the south side of the road. Heading back into town heading west you are on the north side of the road. The other is the 13’s up near Buckatabon Bridge & Bauer’s Dam area. Clearly marked with DO NOT ENTER signs. This can be dangerous.
EAGLE LAKE TRAIL & CATFISH LAKE TRAIL ARE MARKED & OPEN. Stay by the reflective orange barrels. Do not drift away from the barrels as it is not safe to do so. Remember not all lakes have trails so if you don’t see marker do not ride on it to be safe. These are the only 2 lakes that are marked in Sno-Eagles Country. No other lake trails.
Continue DOIN’ THE SNOW DANCE & THINK COLD!
See ya on the trails!
