Snow Cover: Holy Moly! Ton of SNOW on the trails
Date of Report: January 24, 2020
Area Report:

January 24, 2020 – 7:16am 28 degrees

Good on average
Lots of traffic

SNOW. SNOW. SNOW. Fine steady SNOW nearly all day yesterday. 2-3 inches. Chance of SNOW today with most tonight. 1-3 inches. Looks to be cloudy for the next week.  Great for trail conditions. NO EVIL SUN.  Could use temps colder so……THINK COLD!

With a couple feet plus on the trails please stay on the marked trails.  Private landowners are letting the clubs use their land.  We as riders must stay on the trails or we will lose trails.

Catfish & Eagle Lake Trails are MARKED & OPEN.  Stay by the Orange Reflective Barrels to be safe.

Groomer Tracking System shows in the last 24 hours nearly all trails groomed. When you see a groomer gives the drivers a thumbs up.
Here are the few sections not groomed:

  • Alt13 aka 3S from 10/Alt13 intersection to the Three Lakes turn around
  • City trail from Trigs Shell to Bloom Rd.
  • City trail – behind O’Reilly crossing to Trig’s Shell to Bloom Rd
  • Chanticleer Inn trail to Eagle Lk
  • Uncle Kent trail

Caution Areas

In general found trails sections especially in swamps have rough areas. Bumps have set in the base & even with lots of snow coverage it is hard to correct. Sections on 13N beyond Hwy G very rough, Loon Lk Rd to Bloom Rd section of 10E very rough, section of 17N from trail 1 to Columbus Rd rough. 70W section from Sundstein Rd running past the Lincoln Townhall heading west to Synergy rough sections.  17S from Paintball field to Sugar Camp connect.  Don’t be tempted to ride off trail.

Holy Moly lots of traffic last night.  It’s the start of the weekend.  Are you ready to ride?!? With the traffic please stay on the right side of the trails.  That includes corners & hills.

See you on the trails!
