SNOWMOBILE TRAILS IN EAGLE RIVER
Varying conditions after heavy riding weekend
East of Eagle River received about 1 inch of SNOW over night. Chance of some SNOW today doesn’t look like much. Maybe another inch tonight. High today of 26 with a low of 23. More SNOW on tap for Wednesday & Friday. Trails can use a fresh up of SNOW. Time to ride!
Groomer Tracking System reports no grooming in the last 24 hours
Good riding choices would be heading east on 10E into Three Lakes trails. The section between Loon Lk Rd & Bloom Rd is rough but the rest including 9MI trail in shape. OR heading south from town on 3/Alt13 aka “the grade” all the way to Three Lakes. Very good riding.
Caution Areas
17S from 17/7aka Paintball Field intersection to the Sugar Camp connect. This area is improving as Club has been packing snow into the wet mushy areas to firm up. Rough & mushy sections getting better each day.
Section of 10/13 from Hwy G to Adams Rd – this area had water & mushy/muddy areas. The Club is also working on this area packing snow in to firm up. Rough sections much better.
Wisconsin River Bridge aka 10W/13N – frozen but very icy under snow. Grooming of the eastside trail & westside trails(Deep Lk Rd). No grooming across bridge due to conditions so expect rough & potential for soft spots.
In general trails sections in swamps have rough areas.
Catfish & Eagle Lake Trails are NOT MARKED. Please stay off. A group is checking periodically for ice depth & slush. Stay tuned.
THINKING COLD & DOIN’ THE SNOW DANCE!
See you on this trails!
