SNOWMOBILE TRAILS IN EAGLE RIVER
Variety of Conditions

New SNOW in Eagle River has improved conditions.  East of Eagle River totals were on average 10 inches.  West of Eagle River & in town from reports about 8 inches.  Temps dropped overnight.  3 degrees this AM with a high of 28 today.  Making for comfortable riding. Temps tomorrow, Thursday will be in low 30’s.  Rest of the week, day time temps in the low to mid 20’s. Night time in the teens.  Chance of SNOW on Sunday.

Here are the Sno-Eagles Eagle River trails groomed in the last 24 hrs according to Groomer Tracking Systems:

*Trail 10/13 from the groomer barn heading south through Eagle River to Dairy Queen crossing

*Trail 70W to Honey Bear Inn bridge crossing

*Trail 10E – groomer took the City Trail which is Tamarack St (left at Dairy Queen & behind Dollar Tree & O’Reilly’s) to Trig’s Shell. Then picking up trail from Trig’s Shell to Bloom Rd. Down Bloom Rd to Pine Ln to left on Taylor Lk Rd & back onto Trail 10E. Groomed to Catch 22.

Important trail cautions:
CLOSURE – Trl 17N closed from Trl 1 intersection to Columbus Rd. Use Trl 1
Heading south detoured to Hwy 17. Cross Hwy & take Trl 1 back to Eagle River

Trl 10W/13N heading north has a section between the “grade” & Adams Rd that has water & is very mushy/muddy.  Heading north recommend using Trail 17.  Heading south toward town recommend from 13 cutting across(left) Manske Swamp aka 3.

Wisconsin River Trail aka 10W/13N – frozen but shiny slippery ice – approaches not groomed & very rough

Loon Lk & Bloom Rds section of 10E (use City/Trig’s Trl to Bloom Rd) – not groomed very rough

Trail 17S from Trail 7 aka Paintball Field heading south to the Sugar Camp trails – not groomed very rough.  Midway down icy open spot. Room to go around.

Catfish & Eagle Lake Trails are NOT MARKED.  Good to stay off.  Sure there’s surface slush on top of the snow.

Riding today. Will have report of our ride tomorrow morning.

You did a great but…keep THINKING COLD & DOIN’ THE SNOW DANCE!

See you on this trails!
