SNOWMOBILE TRAILS IN EAGLE RIVER
COLD temps return – Grooming resumes

Back to winter temps.  17 for a high today & 2 below tonight. The rest of the week 20’s during the day. Single digits or teens at night. Next chance of SNOW is Sunday.  No totals yet.

The warm up actually did a positive thing.  It softened up the rough set bumps.  Groomer goes over & smooths all that out.  Riding in the next couple of days will let you know.

Groomer Tracking Systems reports nearly ALL trails were groomed in the last 24 hours. Here is the grooming report

  • 10E was groomed except Chanticleer Inn trail to Eagle Lake & GranpaGram aka 1
  • Alt13 aka 3S to Three Lakes connect – “the grade”
  • 70W to St. Germain connect
  • 7 aka the paintball field
  • 17S to the Sugar Camp connect along hwy 17S
  • 10W/13N to Conover connect to 3N
  • Manske Swamp 3N
  • Wisconsin River bridge aka 10W/13N
  • 10W & 7S to Sayner area

With the temps going from the high 30’s to low 20’s on average this week the mushy pudding like SNOW is now frozen.  Grooming last night should have made them pretty flat in most areas & in GOOD conditions.  Expect icy conditions especially in the corners. The cold will also freeze up the few areas that were “wet” this weekend.  Places like portion of Manske Swamp aka 3N, Wisconsin River Bridge aka 10W/13N.

Catfish & Eagle Lake trails are marked.  There is surface slush on top of the ice.  Remember if you hit slush “steady as you go”.  Maintain speed.  Please stay by the orange reflective barrels.

THINK COLD & KEEP DOIN’ THE SNOW DANCE!!!  P.S. No evil sun either!!

See you on the trails!
