Groomer Tracking Systems (GTS Trails) reports in the last 24 hours no grooming

Still cold this morning. 5 degrees at 6:00am with a high today of 21.  Low tonight of 3 Another temp pop up on the way starting tomorrow, Saturday. 30’s through the entire weekend.  Lows in the 20’s at night.  The only SNOW over the last week has been Lake Effect Snow.  Fluffy SNOW with maybe 1 inch +-.  Could be SNOW on Wednesday but that is a long way out.  Stay tuned.

Trails have a very hard base with some loose SNOW.  Heading west into town on 10 which is on the north side is crusty ice with burn throughs. Roads sections some ice & some areas had to skirt along the edge of road. Section of 10 that goes from Bloom Rd to Loon Lake Rd is crusty & mostly covered except as you get closer to Loon Lake Rd. Some loose.  Some crusty. Willow Rd that goes to Alt13/3S is for the most part bare. “The Grade” into town is SNOW covered with chop. In town trails are frozen & icy. Heading north on 13 SNOW covered all the way to the turn that goes off the grade & heads west coming out on Adams.  That was pretty icy.  Adams Rd is for the most part bare. Back onto trail part of 13 heading north had several conditions. Covered, icy & had burn through. Was rough to Conover connect.  Went back through to trail 3 aka Manske Swamp. Frozen & rough which is to be expected.  17N on west side hard & icy but covered for the most part to 10/13 intersection back to town. Street & road crossing were mostly frozen as it was cold yesterday.  10E heading east from where the one way starts near the ERRA Sports Arena was covered with hard icy SNOW with some loose SNOW all the way. Crossing the Hwy 70E bridge was bare & that continued for a bit after getting across before the hard SNOW again.  All in all FAIR.

Catfish & Eagle Lake trails are marked.  Stay by the orange reflective barrels.  Remember not all lakes are safe.  No markers means probably not safe

There is a 55mph nighttime speed limit.

THINK COLD!  KEEP DOIN’ THE SNOW DANCE!!!

See ya on the trails!
