Plenty of SNOW on the trails heading into the weekend.  Today a big bounce up to high 40’s & then back down to 14 tonight. Evil sun out as well. Saturday high of 18 & low of 1.  Sunday high 21 & low of 4 below.  From there on looks like temps will be in the 30’s. Mid March brings higher day time temps. Was going to ride today but putting off ’til Saturday.  Too warm to ride today.

Prepping for the weekend Groomers were out last night grooming.  Just a few area not groomed.  Here are the NOT Groomed trails:

Trail 70W/17S/7 – This starts at intersection behind Dairy Queen in Eagle River heading west to St. Germain & south to connect with Sugar Camp.

South trail beyond the turn onto 10E south of town.  This a local trail for those living in that area to get onto the trail system

Club trail off 10/7 that comes out at Hwy G

 Daily Reminders:

  • Reminder that Trail 13S does not run all the way to Three Lakes as a portion was closed.  The Club is working on a reroute.
  • Wisconsin River Bridge section of 10W/13N has areas of slush, might even be some standing water.  Slow down as it is slippery.
Eagle Lake was marked by businesses. There are 3 color safety lights at entrance & exit from/to the lake trail.  There are mogul drifts along the barrels so recommend slowing down. Lots of SNOW mist so leave space between you & rider in front. With the sun today slush will develop.  Steady as you go.  Don’t slow or speed up.

Catfish Lake is NOT MARKED. Uncertain it will open as there are no businesses open on the lake this winter.  If you have not ridden the lake in the past DO NOT ATTEMPT at night. There are spots that can be thin or even open water. NO safety lights

See ya on the trails Saturday!!
THINK COLD & SNOW!
