SNOWMOBILE TRAILS IN EAGLE RIVER
Fair to Good on average

One more day of warm temps.  High today of 39 with a low of 21 tonight.  Starting tomorrow the temps will begin to drop.  High tomorrow of 28 with a low of 14. Each day through Friday the temps will be in the teens for highs & single digits at night. Thursday SNOW in the forecast. Looks like not much. Stay tuned.  Best chance of accumulating SNOW is next Monday & Tuesday.  To far out for totals

The photos above were taken at 6:00pm last night.  The left is Trail 10E of Eagle River. Middle is Trail 70W behind the Super 8.  The right is Trail Alt13 aka 3S.  Lighting is not the best. Still covered but very soft watery SNOW. Trail 10E is on the north side of the Hwy 70E & does show burn through.  Others are covered. THINK COLD & KEEP DOIN’ THE SNOW DANCE

Conditions have deteriorated but are better than you might imagine. SNOW covered enough on most trails that allowed the groomers to go out & groom overnight.  The trails in the open & on north sides of roads have areas of burn through. Road routes either have ice in small sections or are bare.  Most crossing had puddles by the end of yesterday.  In town “the grade” Trails 10/13 are still SNOW covered.  Most of this is due to the temps going below 32 at night.  One more day of high daytime temps then back to 20’s during day & single digits.  Need fresh SNOW which looks like it might be coming.

Groomer Tracking Systems (GTS Trails) reports in the last 24 hours most of the Eagle River trails were groomed.  So here are the trails not groomed

  • 10E
  • Trail 1 that turns off 10E next to Dollar Lk Rd on it’s way to Eagle Lake trail
  • Trail 1 aka GrampGrahm that turns off 10E near Catch 22 & takes you to Eagle Waters Resort
  • 9Mile trail off of 10E
  • Trig’s Shell section of the City trail to Bloom Rd

ALL OTHER TRAILS ARE GROOMED

Catfish & Eagle Lake trails are marked.  Conditions on both lakes may produce surface slush with temps up & sun out.  Remember not all lakes are safe.  Look for markers and/or signing.  If you don’t see any the lake is not safe.

P.S. There is a 55mph nighttime speed limit.

THINK COLD!  KEEP DOIN’ THE SNOW DANCE!!!

See ya on the trails!
