Looks to be SNOW is coming
Happy to report a WINTER STORM WATCH is in effect starting Sunday, 12/28 expiring Monday 12/29 at 3pm for VILAS county. Heavy snow possible with total SNOW accumulation between 8 & 13 inches possible. Wind gusts as high as 40 mph. Causing drifting. Do not have specific totals for Eagle River.
In prep for the potential snow Groomer Tracking System app shows all trails north, northeast & west, northwest groomed. Those are:
- Trl 10/13 N to Conover connect
Trl section 10/13 aka WI River Bridge
Trl 3N/E
Trl 1 that run north & south (north of Eagle Lake)
Trl 17 to just before Phelps connect
Tril 10W to St. Germain connect
Trl 13N to Conover connect
Vilas County & the Vilas County Snowmobile Alliance voted to use donated safety funds for beacon lighting. It will be installed at the entrance/exit of lakes. They will flash red, green & white. This should help riders find the exit off the lake. Right click on the announcement to enlarge.

Vilas County Map It Trail App GPS style app of all trails in Vilas Cty. Plus includes the brown 3 digit emergency numbering system. If an emergency happens call 911 & give them that number. Find you quicker.
Groomer Tracking Systems (GTS) Gives you trails groomed in last 24, 48 & 96 hours
