VILAS COUNTY SNOWMOBILE TRAILS TO INCLUDE SNO-EAGLES TRAILS REMAIN CLOSED
December 27, 2018 8:40am – 32 degrees- Light snow
About 2 inches of SNOW over night. Currently the SNOW that had stopped has started again. Really light SNOW right now & expected through 5pm tonight. Another 2-4 inches is forecast by the weather guys.
After 5pm it looks like the SNOW will turn to rain. Temps are set to rise just enough to cause the change to rain. So……you know what that means. START THINKING COLD so we can keep the temps at 32 to even lower.
Early tomorrow morning weather guys forecasting a turn back to SNOW around 2am until 5am. No totals yet for that potential SNOW.
Trails in Sno-Eagles Country & ALL of VILAS COUNTY REMAIN CLOSED. Even with the new SNOW just not enough on the trails to open.
The Vilas County Snowmobile Alliance met December 19th in Lac du Flambeau. The vote on trail opening was for the trails to remain closed. There just isn’t enough snow at this point.
Everything hangs on early evening today. If the drop just a bit lower it could be all SNOW. But at this point doesn’t look like it. So…..THINK COLD & keep DOIN’ THE SNOW DANCE!!!!
Check out the phone updates at 715.479.5185 after 5pm for a new report of conditions.
Boy oh boy getting hard to wait to go riding! Hope to see you on the trails soon!
