Your Online Trail and Travel Guide for Snowmobiling the U.S. & Canada

Trail Report: Cable, Wisconsin – December 13, 2016

Trail Conditions: Closed
Snow Cover: 4-5"
Date of Report: December 13, 2016
Area Report:
Winter is off to a very promising start! The Bayfield County trails technically opened on December 12th, but we are still waiting for more snowfall and need the swamps to freeze deeper before grooming equipment can go out.
We currently have a solid 5 inches of snow cover. The lakes only recently froze over, but bitter cold temps over the next week should help to make a lot of ice. The next good snowfall should get the trail groomers out and the riding season started!
