4 inches SNOW overnight.   Next SNOW Wednesday night into Thursday.  Totals all over the place.  It was at 8-10 inches.  Now 11-14 inches.  So let’s just wait & see.  Weather guys don’t seem to have a good handle on the totals.   But hey, SNOW is good!

Temps will be in the 20’s during the day & 10’s to single digits at night until Saturday.  So whatever we get in SNOW isn’t going anywhere. A little sun this AM then cloudy.

Received word that grooming will start tonight.  Will update if/when more information available.

Eagle & Catfish Lake trails are still marked.  Very icy under the new SNOW. Surface is very hard thick ice.

THINK COLD!!!  Keep DOIN’ THE SNOW DANCE!!  RIDE RIGHT!!1

We did receive an inch or two of snow today with several more inches in the forecast. YIPPEE! We kept our base but it is icy so be careful on the corners. I am guessing the groomers may go out in the next day or two and work some magic. The season is not over yet.

Hello Riders!

Many are curious as to conditions after the busy holiday weekend.   As you know, we have snow on the trails, but it was a hard and icy weekend.  Lakes are still quite icy, so your carbides and ice scratchers are getting a workout.  There is snow in the forecast this week! We are holding off on a full trail report until after the snow shows up, as some groomers are holding off until we get additional snow, to not damage the equipment. Stay tuned this week for additional updates.

Boulder Junction Snowmobile Club Trail Report – Monday, 2/20/2023

At 8:00 a.m. it’s 5 degrees out with partly cloudy skies with snow coming this afternoon.

We haven’t groomed since last Thursday and there was very little sled traffic this past weekend due to the lack of snow and icy trails.

With 3 waves of snow forecast starting today through Thursday, our trails should be in better shape later this week.

We will start grooming again tomorrow if we receive enough new snow tonight.

Check in for an updated snowy trail report on Wednesday, February 23.

Area Report:

LINCOLN COUNTY: Zones 2, 3, 4, CLOSED. Zone 1 partially open. ONEIDA COUNTY: Open.

However, trails are ice or bare and no snow cover remains on lakes. Our clubs recommend staying off trails until conditions improve, at which time grooming will resume and closed trails may reopen. Snow is in the forecast this week.

Zone 1 Trails remaining closed are as follows: Trail 86 from Intersection #25 to the Taylor County Line. Corridor 21 from Hwy M north of Homestead Road to the Taylor County Line.

ATVs are only allowed on designated trails when temperatures are below 28F. No UTVs.

As always, we remind riders to stay on marked trails. Off trail riding is trespassing and could result in closure or loss of trails and citations and fines for those who participate.

Trail Report – : Conover, Wisconsin – February 20, 2023

Reporter:snobuddies

Trail Conditions: Poor

Snow Cover: Ice

Date of Report: February 20, 2023

Area Report:

Bad news – Trails are still ice and no grooming occured over the weekend.

Good News – There is snow arriving Monday into Tuesday with 3-5″ of fresh snow. Then another one hits Wednesday into Thursday and that one is suppose to bring more snow than the first.

I’ll update with snow totals as we receive them and when grooming resumes.

Remember that under this new snow is a sheet of glare ice. If this snow we receive is dry, it will slide off the ice easily making corners very slippery. Please remember to slow down and Ride Right, Ride Safe!

News and Reports:

  • A reminder to ride between the orange blazers. Along Hwy K West, there were several 100 trees removed this summer to place new electric poles. Most of the stumps are still there. If you were to hit one, it could ruin your trip quickly. Ride Right ➡️ Ride Safe.
  • To see where the Groomer is at, check out  Groomer Tracker  Half the cost of the app comes back to Conover Sno-Buddies to support grooming operations.

Snowmobile Information:

Our annual Poker Run starts December 24th and ends on March 4th. You can pick up game cards to be stamped at several locations in Conover, Eagle River, Phelps, and Land O Lakes. Draw party is March 4th. No need to be present to win.

March 17 – Fundraiser at Club 45. Annual St. Patricks Day Corned Beef dinner. Money raised at this benefit go to the Sno-Buddies for trail maintenance. Come out and enjoy a Corned Beef dinner provided by the Payne Family.

Trail Report – : Phelps, Wisconsin – February 20, 2023

Reporter:Phelps Snowmobile Club

Trail Conditions: Poor

Snow Cover: 2″-8″

Date of Report: February 20, 2023

Area Report:

Good morning.  Warm and sunnyweather on Saturday didn’t help the trails.  Trails remain open with some bare and very icy conditions.  The good news is, they are forecasting 3″-5″ of snow tonight into Tuesday and more snow Wednesday into Thursday that could produce, as of now, 4″-8″.  This will really help the trails and grooming should start back up if we get these amounts.  Check back later in the week for more updates.  No matter where you ride, always remeber to “Ride Right”
