Townsend – Red Arrow Snowmobile – ATV Club – The trails are in FAIR TO GOOD CONDITION and freshly groomed this morning. The hills took a beating yesterday with little snow to drag back in the holes. Rocks continue to clang on the skis so be careful of them. Most of the level wooded trails are in very nice shape were the sun hasn’t made an appearance.
Lakewood – Paul Bunyan Snowmobile Club – The Lakewood area received 4 to 5 inches of heavy wet snow with a possibility of a little more. The trails lost most of the great base we had so there will be rocks and ruts like early season condition except the ground was still frozen and with the high temperatures there is a lot of standing water. We are going to try to groom some of the high areas but not near any swampy areas. Use extreme caution if you ride.
Bagley and Brazeau – Joyriders Trails – CLOSED.
Chute Pond Snowmobile Club – Chute Pond trails are open, and are in poor to fair “early season” condition.
Expect some thin or bare areas, some rocks and gravel popping up through the snow, and some significant wet areas in the low spots. In general, the western wooded trails are better than the eastern wooded trails, and the NST is a mixed bag of some good, some not so good.
ALL LAKES SHOULD BE CONSIDERED UNSAFE at this time because of deteriorating ice along the shorelines. Please ride with caution and enjoy our trails.
Gillett Sno ATV Riders – CLOSED.
Oconto Falls – Sno Jokers Trails – CLOSED.
Lena Snow Drifters – CLOSED.
Chase Sno-Chasers – CLOSED.
Trail Conditions: Poor
Snow Cover: 3-5 inches
Date of Report: February 27, 2017
Area Report:
The trails remain open, however, they are in poor condition. There is just so much water and mud under this snow, they are not able to groom without tearing the trail apart! Now we are heading into several days of warm weather also.
Trail Conditions: Open
Snow Cover: White

Area Report:
Joe and I just rode from Sunrise Lodge to Land O Lakes and the trail was white if a little bumpy. No grooming yet as there is still water in the swampy areas. Nice to be out enjoying winter again. Trails are rideable if not awesome.

Trail Conditions: Good
Snow Cover: 24″ and up
Date of Report: February 26, 2017
Area Report:
With the recent snow, our trails are back to good conditions and being groomed daily. Temps have been great for riding. You can ride from the tip of the Keweenaw Peninsula and even go to Lake Gogebic. It looked like the riding season was going to be ending, but for those of us that live here, we knew that wouldn’t happen! Snow is forecasted throughout the week, 2 inches here, 3 inches there, enough to keep the trails fresh and ready. Trail #122 between Lake Linden and Gay is closed due to logging. Do Not Use It!! You can take the trail up to the Dreamland trail so that you can get out there, but no farther. Trail #133 between Gay and Lac Labelle is a little rough, so use with caution. There still may be some wet spots, so be careful where you are riding.
Stay off all ice, respect others on the trail and private property, slow down and save the drinking for after the riding!
Happy Trail from the Trail Goddess!
Trail Conditions: Fair
Snow Cover: 5-7″ fresh snow – minimal base
Date of Report: February 26, 2017
Area Report:
Late season riding conditions. We probably received 5-7″ from the last snowfall. That is the good news. The challenge is we have to start over as far as building a base for trails. There are wet spots thorought the trail system. The frost is thin in the swamps, so the grromers can’t get out in many areas.
The barrels have been removed from the lakes, so they are cross at your own risk.
There is riding out there, but you must adjust your expectations.
Drive responsible out there.
Trail Conditions: Poor
Snow Cover: Trails covered with soft snow. Slush in places
Date of Report: February 26, 2017
Area Report:
The season continues in Eagle River. 19 degrees at 6:45am with a high today of 34.
Trail Boss Brian reports that no grooming for now. Will keep you posted on that.
Enough snow to ride. Adventure riding on tap today. You will find all kinds of conditions out there. Maybe even some slushy water under the snow. I am riding today & will give a report on what I see tomorrow.
For safety here are some important notices about the trails
TRAIL SECTION 10W/13N aka Wisconsin River Bridge is closed due high water conditions. DO NOT ENTER THIS AREA
High water/slush is also present on Trail 3 aka the Manske Swamp. Use extreme caution.
Section of Trail 10E from Bloom Rd to Loon Lake Rd has slush. Recommend taking City Trail on Tamarack St to Trigs Shell Trail to Bloom Rd.
The barrels have been pulled from both Catfish Lake Loop & Eagle Lake Trail. Advise not to ride. If you do it is at your own risk.
See Ya On The Trails!
