Trail report for January 31, 2018, Poor to fair condition. The trails have very little snow and are bare and icy in the corners. With the snow system we got last night only left us with an inch plus. The temps are expected to stay in the single digits for the rest of the week which is good not to degrade our trails any further. We really need a good snowstorm to get the trails back in A1 shape again. There is another snow system coming this way maybe on Saturday. We will see how much snow we will get. We will do our best with what we have got. Pray for snow and do the snow dance! Remember to be safe, ride right, and enjoy the ride.

Conditions Fair to Good

The warm weather last weekend really hurt us. We had a lot of melting and some trails took a beating.  Riders are still out and about with some reporting Good Conditions out of town, most sledders in town are still putting on a lot of miles this week as the trails are definitely rideable. Trail 17 (the grade is Poor with some gravel coming through), Trail 10 and 12B to the flowage are Fair condition with ice-y corners. The remainder of the system is still in Good Condition as the woods really protected direct sun light. We have been hit again by logging on most of our town road trails, watch for plowed down roads on Island Lake Rd, Circle Lilly Rd, Cramer Lake Rd, and Cedar Lake Rd; this is an issue we are working on for the future.  This Saturday is our Club fundraiser at the Wolf’s Den Bar & Grill inside the Great Northern Hotel. Stop in from 11am till 2pm for a Chili Feed and Brat Fry, all money raised will go to grooming the trails. Thank you to everyone who continues to support the club and remember to Ride Safe!

Trail Conditions: Good

Snow Cover: 4 inches

Date of Report: January 31, 2018

Area Report:

YES…We received four inches of fresh snow in the area!  This is awesome!

We rode Saturday and surprisingly, even with the warm weather, the base is still there.  It is frozen…it is mostly flat…With this 4 inches of snow on top of that, the trails will be really nice.  All three groomers will be going out tonight and tomorrow.  This will make for some great riding for you all this weekend.  Cold temperatures are in the forecast which should hold the trail together also!

PROCEED WITH CAUTION!  Expect ice corners and a lot of traffic.

See you on the trail!

Here are your current conditions:

Mother Nature gave us 2-3″ of fresh snow last night. This will really brighten things up and refresh the beautiful trails that we have. Everything has been worked over after the busy weekend. They are still in very good shape. You may find a little snirt, but it’s nothing to worry about. You may find a icy corner or two, so use caution.

Lakes are all marked, please stay close to barrels.

Trail Conditions: Good

Snow Cover: Received a little fresh

Date of Report: January 31, 2018

Area Report:

The Frosty Club trails are smooth flat, and fast after some excellent work by the groomers. Please slow down as we have had multiple reports of icy corners and hot dogging riders. Looks like cold temps and a little fresh snow should set things up for a great weekend. RIDE SAFE!
