Area Report:

Happy new year everyone ! Our trails are in very early season conditions so please watch out for some ruts and other obstacles on some of the trails . I know trail 13 n has some rough areas and trail 12 on the high line heading towards Dublins also is rough until we get some more snow . The swamp on the cemetery spur is also closed also . There are signs and barrels saying the trail is closed and the gate is shut . I will be out at 6 a.m. to open gates so please ride safe and be cautious this weekend as I am sure it is going to be busy . Ride right and ride safe .

Trail Report – : Hayward / Sawyer County, Wisconsin – December 31, 2020

Reporter:haywardlakes

Trail Conditions: Poor

Snow Cover: 6-8

Date of Report: December 31, 2020

Area Report:

Several trails lead to lakes that are not safe yet so those groomers will not groom a trail to a dead end. But you can find many great trails that lead to areas not on lakes or to the lakes that are staked. Those again are:
Tiger Cat Flowage
Little Round
Lost Land Lake
Chippewa Flowage
Osprey
Nelson Lake
Big Sissabagama
Namakagon
Moose Lake

Please remember trail 18 from Tiger Cat to Callahan is temporarily closed. Spider will be worked on Friday.

All other lakes are not safe enough to stake so please do not go on them! And the lakes that are staked be sure to stick to the marked trail for your safety.

We are moving into our 2021 riding season!! Ride safe and have fun!!

Also remember to watch for those Sawyer County Snowmobile Friendly signs and take a selfie and share with us and Hayward Lakes VCB for a chance to win $$! Snap a selfie and post #sledsawyer2020

Trail Report – : Kenosha County, Wisconsin – December 31, 2020

Reporter:Nick

Trail Conditions: Fair

Snow Cover: 5-7 inches

Date of Report: December 31, 2020

Area Report:

Unfortunately we’ve had riders that have  chosen  not to ride responsibly and have violated trail ethics and trespassed on unmarked land resulting with the landowner closing all trails through his property. These closings encompass the trail from the Illinois stateline and  The Village of Twin Lakes/ Twin Lakes Country Club.

Despite our efforts we still have  people who think that snowmobiling is a right and ignoring the fact that it is a priviledge bestowed upon us by landowners.

Trail Report – : Stephenson County, Illinois – December 31, 2020

Reporter:Skinner

Trail Conditions: Excellent

Snow Cover: 8+

Date of Report: December 31, 2020

Area Report:

We had over 8″ of snow and trails are open and we are just starting to groom as the Jane Addams was done last night and we will be doing  other trails starting to day so it should be a great weekend of riding in north west Illinois so make plans to come out and ride with us. PLEASE stay on marked trails if you don’t we will lose them. ‘Please remember to feed the trail boxes as we have cultmulced all our chisel plowed fields and now are grooming and the tractor does like to burn fuel and it is all out of our pocket as our great state is real slow to repay us. AS ALWAYS RIDE SAFE AND ENJOY
