Our trails are really good the last few days as everything has been groomed and flat, this might be the best weekend to ride if you have not been up here yet. The temps are going to be in the 20s this weekend and then a warm up after that . This might be it folks as it starts to warm up this time of year but then again i have seen some of our biggest storms in March also. Turns will be icy so keep your speed down and stay on your side.

Sno-Eagles
EAGLE RIVER TRAILS
OPEN
Good Condition

Below zero temps over the past few days make for great grooming!  Eagle River Sno-Eagles trails are in great shape!  Over the last 2 nights ALL of the 80 miles of Sno-Eagles trails have been groomed.  There is SNOW cover most everywhere to include through town.   Roads are ice covered & there are some bare spots.

Trail 10E from where I live heading east to connection with Three Lakes TL8 aka Kimbell Creek Trail or Trail 6 which takes you north to Phelps or south to Forest County are snow covered & Good with a few Fair areas.  Few rough spots. If you like to ride without stopping both are great rides.  A bit thin on 6 heading toward Phelps.

Going west on 10 toward Eagle River is snow covered as well.  Few rough spots.  Taylor Lake Rd just past the ERRA Sports Arena is icy with hard SNOW on the edge.  Same for Pine Land that takes you to the Hwy 45 crossing & then to Bloom Rd crossing.  Back on the trail to town 10 toward town is icy & rough all the way to the connect with 13 & onto the Grade.  Lots of set chop in that area from all the traffic.  The Grade to town is fantastic!

Heading through town all SNOW covered & in pretty good shape.  After crossing Hwy G some chop at the beginning.  Crossing Wisconsin River Bridge it is rough on the approaches on both sides. At the intersection of 10W/13N best riding is heading north on 13N.

17N along Hwy 45N is pretty good. Thin on the section from where you cross hwy & ride on the north side of 45. Some rough spots as well.  Connecting to Trail 1 toward Eagle Lake is in Good to Fair.  Eagle Lake trail is fine by the barrels.  Some small moguls from the heavy traffic.  Exit off the lake on the south side is moguled & rough. Not much to fix that as no grooming on lakes.  Road section is pretty bare. Trail along Dollar Lake Rd is in Fair shape.  10E along Hwy 70 is in Good shape with a few sections that some groomer cut through on the edges. Didn’t ride Catfish Lake trail so can’t report.

Tad cold in the morning but all in all great riding!  If you aren’t riding, why not? Temps heading up end of the week.

See ya on the trails!

Date of Report: February 18, 2025

Area Report:

At 8:00 am it is -16 degrees out with sunny skies with little snow predicted for the rest of the
week. A warm up is coming for the weekend.
We are still down to one groomer, but have been grooming daily. We groomed 15S and 2W
yesterday. The groomer drivers reported those trails were in rough condition prior to grooming.
We groomed 8E early this morning and will be grooming 8W or 15N later today.
With the heavy holiday traffic this past weekend it was hard to keep the trails smooth with
only one groomer being out. Hopefully, we will be getting our 2 nd groomer back soon.
Thanks to all who supported us at our annual snowmobiler breakfast at the Guides Inn. It was a
huge success. Also, we will be hosting our annual Cabin Fever Party at Gooch’s on Saturday,
March 1 st from 4:00-9:00 pm. There will be plenty of good food, raffles, and door prizes
available.
