Trail Report – : Iron County, Michigan – February 18, 2026

Reporter:Colleen
Trail Conditions: Good
Snow Cover: 12 - 18 inches of snow cover
Date of Report: February 18, 2026
Area Report:

Our trail system is open and being groomed. Colder temps moved in last night along with 6 inches of new snowfall. Operators and groomers started grooming this afternoon and will continue to groom the trails to get ready for the weekend. Another storm is forecasting an additional 3-5 inches of snow starting Thursday night into Friday for our area. Temps are to remain in the upper 20’s to low 30’s over the next 7 days which is good news to keep the groomers on the trails.

Trail conditions – Good – Trails #2, #107, #15 N., #113, #116, #16 and #18

                           Fair – Trail 15 S. and #111

Please remember, we like everyone else had a 5 day warm up over this past weekend. So watch for some slushy conditions during the day and some icy corners after the sun goes down. Road crossings took a hit last weekend, but the trails held up fairly well.

Please remember to ride right, watch the corners for on coming traffic and give the groomers and operators the space they need to keep the trails smooth and rideable for everyone. And please remember there are young riders as well as older riders on the trails, let’s all have some fun and go home safe!!

A big “Thank you” goes out to the Iron County Snowmobile Clubs for giving us all some great trails this season to ride on.

Happy Trails and Be Safe!!
