EAGLE RIVER TRAILS
OPEN – EARLY SEASON RIDING
Traffic picked up yesterday with many large groups. Trail as of last night were still holding up. Even through town all SNOW covered. A few blown corners.
As for weather. This Wednesday the temps are going to pop up to the 30’s during the day & low 20’s at night. Weather guys are forecasting mostly cloudy. There is SNOW & sleet forecast. This will last through the New Year. Riding on Thursday will give a detailed report on conditions. Time to THINK COLD.
Groomers were out again last night grooming nearly all the trails. This morning I’m going to list the trails NOT GROOMED:
Trail 13N aka Bauers Dam ALL were NOT groomed
Trail 3N aka Manske Swamp was NOT groomed
Trail Alt 13 heading to Three Lakes was NOT groomed
The spurs on Trail 10E were NOT groomed
NOTE – DEERVIEW LANE SECTION OF TRAIL 1 THAT HEADS TO EAGLE LAKE HAS HEAVY TRUCK TRAFFIC. Slow down & be aware.
As to the 2 lake trails Catfish & Eagle. Lots of SNOW drifting with slush pockets. Not marked. Not safe. NOT OPEN.
Some reminders when you ride. Please no off trail riding & stop at driveways. Also as you ride you might meet a groomer. They are big & can’t pull over for us. So pull over & let the driver direct you. And oh ya give ’em a thumbs up. They groom so we can ride!!!
Keep DOIN’ THE SNOW DANCE!!
See ya on the trails again Thursday!
