January 11 – 6:02am 21 degrees – High of 28 today – Low tonight of 19
Trails are in on average Poor to Fair Early Riding Condition
Little of no change in the Eagle River trails that remain in Early Riding Condition with conditions at Poor to Fair.
Hard frozen ground covered with an ice base in most areas. Crusty frozen snow. Lots of snirt. Choppy conditions. The ROW trails have a bit more snow but everywhere there is plenty of snirt & dirt. Especially at road crossings & on the north side of roads. Traffic on the trails is sparse.
With the conditions as they are, grooming in Eagle River has been halted until there is SNOW.
Temps have popped up to the high 20’s to mid 30’s during the day. Mid to high teens at night. Weather guys forecasting next SNOW this coming Thursday with a 60% chance & Friday with a 50% chance. Far out so it could change. Stay tuned.
Catfish & Eagle have been marked by businesses on the lake. This includes the spur to Eagle Waters. Stay by the markers to be safe. Some surface slush on Catfish. All are SNOW covered.
Bummer of a report once again this morning. Sure wish it would SNOW & get colder during the day.
