Trail Conditions: Early Season
Snow Cover: 4 inches at most - Less westside of Eagle River
Date of Report: January 5, 2021
Area Report:
January 5 – 7:01am 21 degrees – High of 32 – Low tonight of 21
Trails are in on average Fair to Poor Early Riding Condition
Eagle River trails are in Early Riding Condition with conditions at Fair to Poor. Hard frozen ground covered with an ice base in most areas. Snow cover in most areas. Plenty of crusty snow in areas. Seems the ROW trails have a bit more snow but everywhere there is plenty of snirt.
Grooming has halted in Eagle River until there is a substantial SNOW fall. There was SNOW yesterday afternoon late. SNOWED for a few hours. Fluffy SNOW so it didn’t amount to much. 1/2 +- on the ground. DO THE SNOW DANCE.
Temps have popped up to the high 20’s to low 30’s during the day. Mid to high teens at night. There is a potential for small amounts of SNOW. Stay tuned for more updates.
Both lake trails, Catfish & Eagle are marked by businesses on the lake. This includes the spur to Eagle Waters. Stay by the markers to be safe.
Thanks to the clubs for all their hard work.
Need cold weather & SNOW. KEEP THINKING COLD & DOIN’ THE SNOW DANCE!
