Red Arrow Townsend – Thursday, January 25, 2018
It’s 18.5 degrees in beautiful downtown Townsend this morning. Conditions are still “GOOD to VERY GOOD” in the area. It should be another beautiful day to ride, but the temperatures are to start creeping up the next couple of days. Let’s hope they’re wrong! The groomers will be out today and tonight to make the trails as good as we can for our visiting MS riders to the area communities. Welcome to you all!! And our other visitors as well.
Paul Bunyan Riders – Thursday, January 25, 2018
After the groomers got back in last night trail boss Jack Bailey reported the trails are in the best shape they have been this season. There is water backing up on the trail off of Sullivan Springs road so be careful in that area. The warm weather for Friday and Saturday will take a toll on them. Ride them while you can.
Chute Pond Snowmobile Club – Tuesday, January 23, 2018:
Our trails are currently OPEN and in fair to good “Early Season Condition”. We got 4-6″ of snow yesterday. Our groomers will be out throughout the next couple days to work the trails. They reported last night that some areas are grooming up very nicely. There may still be some areas where the ruts and dips have not filled in yet, so ride with extra caution, especially in these areas:
The section of trail north of Hwy W up to Mountain Lakes Rd near the Big Y (INT 320) has some rough stretches.
Watch for logging on the 18 Corridor trail west of Hwy 32.
The wooded trail from INT 455 to INT 472 (Old 64) has a few rough spots.
The pipeline trail from Jack Pine north to INT 447 is rough, but the pipeline trail from INT 447 north to Crooked Lake is extremely rough.
The wooded trail between INT 453 behind the Junction east to Jack Pine Rd has numerous rough spots.
The 18 Corridor trail near Crooked Lake- north of Neligan Lake Rd has a few rough spots.
Our groomers will continue to work to make the trails the best they can be. Please be aware they may be out at any time- day or night.
Bagley & Brazeau – Thursday, January 25, 2018
We received 4 to 5 ” of wet heavy snow during the snowstorm. The groomer drivers went out Wednesday and Thursday. the groomer drivers said the trails are in very good condition. The warmer weather coming on Friday may deteriorate the trails. Hopefully they will last through the weekend.
