Cross Country Cruisers Trail Report 3-19-19
We enjoyed another weekend of riding in March here in the Northwood’s. The Cross Country Cruisers continued their grooming and the trails held up fairly well.
The upcoming weeks forecast looks to have above freezing high`s for several days and into the weekend.
The Cruisers will no longer be grooming on a regular schedule and will look at trail conditions day by day.
There will still be some good riding out there this week if you can get out there. The Road routes are mostly bare and the trails close and in town where the sun can get at them will be the poorest.
Use caution on trial 51N just after Hwy 51 for there is logging going on and the trail is very thin for about 1 mi. Please stay to the right and respect the loggers!
I am sure other area clubs are experiencing the same conditions and most have cut back on grooming or stopped for the season.
The end is not far off but if you can, get out and ride!

The Magic of Winter – Sled the Vast, White Northland
Thanks to the hard work of our many snowmobile clubs and volunteers, an extensive network of professionally groomed trails – more than 1600 miles – are maintained. A magnificent natural environment with 1300 glacial lakes and 233,000 acres of public forest lands provide a perfect setting for snowmobilers in the Minocqua – Arbor Vitae – Woodruff Area. Take off in any direction to sled on the spacious and well marked routes throughout the forests. The locale features a number of trail side pit stops – step inside, enjoy the atmosphere, but please be responsible. Don’t drink and drive !
