Trail Report – : Iron County, Michigan – February 14, 2018

Area Report:

All trails are open and being groomed as needed.  Southern trails are getting a little thin with the warm sunny weather today… but our northern.. eastern & western trails have held up good over the past week.. thanks to colder temps.  Trail #111 is reported to be in tough shape between Amasa & Crystal Falls.. but in decent shape between Amasa & Trail 15 North. Take your time if planning on riding this trail.

Trail #2 is getting a little thin in the open areas.. but snow is on the way Sunday.   🙂

Trail #15 North.. Trail #107.. Trail #113.. Trail #16.. Trail #116.. Trail #18 are all in good condition and being groomed as needed.

Trail #2 is getting thin in the open areas but good in the woods. 

Trail #15 South is in fair condition .. open areas are getting a little thin on snow cover.

Snow is in the forecast for Sunday.. cooler temps are coming back after today.  Let’s hope winter is going to be around for a few more weeks yet.  


News and Reports:

Michigan’s “FREE” fishing weekend is coming up here in a few days February 17th & 18th, 2018.  At least (2) feet of good ice is on all the lakes.

Iron County’s Ski Resort is 100% Open & in GREAT SHAPE!!
